Formal Performance Wear Guidelines for
BOYS

with Performance Wear Dress Codes is subject to a grade point loss for the
performance which may affect his report card grade.
Tux Pants, Tux Jacket,
Black Tux Tie - Property of Shasta High School
White Tux Shirt, Black
Dress Shoes, Black Socks - Boy Is Responsible
Hemming Instructions
1.
Do not cut any length off the pants! Hems need to be made without
cutting any length off. Remember, you are only borrowing these clothes.
2.
Each boy is responsible for his own hem. You may either do it
yourself, or hire someone to do it. As a courtesy, Tuxedos & Taylor Shop,
at (80 Hartnell Ave 224-1843), will shorten pants for $8.00. Ask for Ken
and let him know you are with Shasta High School. If you choose to use
them, get the pants to them ASAP! They will not be able to do last minute
hems.
3.
Make sure you wear your performance shoes when you get your hem
measured. The shoes you wear will determine the correct length of your hem.
4.
A correct hem is one that breaks just on top of the shoe, below the
ankle, and above the toes.
5.
Jacket hems should hit an inch below your wrist.
Proper Care Instructions for Your Tux
1.
Tuxes must be dry cleaned only. The school will pay to have it dry
cleaned at the end of the year.

the Oregon border. The following students have been selected: McKay
Blazian, Rebecca Ewert, David Fowler, Caitlin Giddings, Gabby Hall, Krista
Judge, Sean Kittrick, Dominic Mallari, Hanna Moty, Jackson Murphy, Luisa

Madrigal Costumes
Congratulations to the
students who have been chosen to participate in the Madrigal Dinner this
year! There are some items that students are responsible to purchase for
their costumes. Each student will need a pair of black tights. You can
either purchase dance tights or Target carries a heavy duty tight that seems
to work well. Students will also need a pair of black soled slippers.
Girls can wear the Mary Jane type and boys can purchase the Black Corduroy
slippers. We would also suggest gel inserts for comfort because the
students are on their feet a great deal during the dinner. Each student
will receive one set of underarm shields and extra sets can be purchased for
$1 each. Students will be signing a contract regarding the care of their
costume, and we require that each student who takes their costume home must
transport their costume to and from the dinner in a garment bag. The
garment bag is considered part of the costume and if the student received
one with their costume, they must return it.
If
you have any costume questions, please contact Amber Forrest at 243-3524 or
Julie Buick at 222-6802.

2009 Madrigal Dinner Helpers Needed
Madrigal Dinner
performances will be 8 nights in December 2 - 5 and 9 -12. For those of
you, who were unable to attend our parent meeting, do not fret! Its not
too late to sign up to help and actually we are counting on you to do just
that. We still need many volunteers for various committees. It truly takes
an army to make this event happen. The hours you donate will be converted
to points which can be used to help fund the next big choir trip in 2011.
Listed below are the chairpersons for each committee. If you havent
already signed up to help, please call the chairperson and tell them you
would like to volunteer. Remember you can volunteer for more than one
committee!
We especially need
helpers in the small and large kitchens for Friday and Saturday nights. (In
case you dont know, the small kitchen is in charge of cooking the delicious
caramel sauce for the figgy pudding dessert!)
